- Make it safe for people to participate in mediation,, and engage in difficult conversations
- Work to resolve conflict in ways that are fair and satisfy needs of all parties
- Focus on the positive elements each party brings to the table (this helps to add value in the negotiations)
Empower people to diagnose and resolve conflict themselves - Do no harm; your participation in a mediation is voluntary, and my goal is always to leave the parties no worse off for their participation
